Spate of collisions to lead to compensation claims?

A spate of road traffic accidents could lead to a spike in the number of personal injury compensation claims being made in one area.

According to the Bournemouth Echo, there were 30 separate such collisions within three hours of each other in Dorset last Thursday (January 21st 2011) as more icy conditions caused havoc on the county's roads.

This has led the district's police force - which is led by chief constable Martin Baker - to issue a warning to local people to take extra care and slow down on the region's highways in the near future to avoid any further mishaps.

Inspector Bob Jacobs of Dorset Police told the news source: "The message to motorists once again is please, please slow down. You will not see the ice and by the time you know you've hit it, it will be too late."

Meanwhile, anyone injured in these road traffic accidents may opt to seek a damages settlement for their ordeal.
