Road traffic accident may lead to compensation claims

Numerous claims for compensation could be made by parents of pupils at two schools in the north of England on behalf of their children after a road traffic accident resulted in injuries such as whiplash.

According to online resource This is Lancashire, around 50 young attendees of the Masefield Primary School in Little Lever and Blackshaw Primary School, Breightmet, were hurt when a coach transporting them was involved in a five-vehicle collision on the M62.

These pupils were on their way home from an activity trip in Shropshire at the time of the crash and required treatment at the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital and Salford Royal Hospital following their ordeal.

Police are currently investigating the cause of this crash, but claims for damages are likely to be forthcoming once this is established.

This comes after it was reported by the Daily Mail that several parents are taking action against the National Trust after an accident at Fellbrigg Hall in Norfolk during a school trip.
