Compensation could be pursued for foot injury

A claim for compensation could be pursued by a Scottish man who suffered major injuries to his foot in an accident relating to a bungee run.

Greenock resident Stephen Anderson lost two pints of blood when the bones in his foot shattered in the incident.

He had been running along an inflatable with a bungee cord secured to his waist when a metal plate came loose and smashed into his leg, the Daily Record reports.

Doctors said he could have died if it had hit his head instead of his leg, while Mr Anderson's girlfriend fainted because of all the blood.

"[My partner's] mum took me to hospital in her car because we didn't want to wait for an ambulance. I was in total agony," he said.

Lisa Fraser, senior staff nurse at Southampton General Hospital, is likely to take action against Southampton University Hospitals NHS Trust due to slipping on a wet floor, suffering multiple injuries to her leg, the Daily Echo recently reported.
